LHS Newsletter: 24 May 2024

Dear Parents,

As we progress through the academic year and May half-term approaches, it's with a mix of pride and nostalgia that we bid farewell to our Year 11 and Year 13 students, who have started their study leave.

The poignant Leavers' Assembly served as a reminder of the bonds forged and memories shared during their time at LHS. Year 13 took the opportunity to stay true to LHS tradition and decorate the School on their last day.  This included using an abundance of loo roll (yes, you read that right!) and creating a wonderful display of the Head of Maths Science's ties, which adorned the ceilings of the Science corridor. My office door remained firmly locked!

As GCSE and A-Level exams commence, and our senior students complete their internal assessments this week, we offer our support and encouragement.

Here's to a focused and successful exam season for all.

Additionally, a huge thank you to parents for their support at the Junior Summer Fair. It was wonderful to see the community come together to make it a success.

Mr Alan Whelpdale,

Headmaster
