Leicester High School for Girls Students Attend Buckingham Palace DofE Gold Award Celebration
Year 13 students Mylan and Pavneet from Leicester High School for Girls were honoured to attend the Buckingham Palace Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Gold Award Celebration, with Prince Edward in attendance.
Mylan and Pavneet's dedication to completing the DofE Gold Award has earned them this prestigious recognition. Their participation highlights Leicester High School for Girls' commitment to supporting students in achieving personal goals and engaging in community service.
Mylan and Pavneet said, "To visit the beautiful palace gardens was an amazing experience for us both, and to be able to celebrate with other Gold achievers was a truly memorable experience. Our stand-out moment was hearing an inspirational speech by Tim Peake, a memory that will stay with us as we step into the next stage of our lives.
"We are proud of Mylan and Pavneet for their accomplishment and representation of our school at the Buckingham Palace celebration," said Sam Tratt, DofE leader. "Their commitment to their personal development is commendable."
