It's another year of A Level successes for LHS with 70% of the entries achieving A* to B, and 43% of all grades were A* and A, compared to the national average of 25.5%.
Leicester High School student, Rida-Fatima Mazumder, has secured her place to study Chemistry at the University of Birmingham with grades of AAB, after joining the School on a 100% scholarship from a local charity, the Sir Thomas White Trust.
Head Girl Riya Ghosh will be building on her success by studying Architecture with grades of A*AB.
Two girls will be following their dreams into engineering - Carina Assi who will be studying Aeronautical Engineering at Loughborough with A*AA and Asiyah Ibraheem will be studying Electronic Engineering with Artificial Intelligence with grades of AAA at Southampton.
A total of 5 girls achieved straight A grades. Carina Assi achieved A*AA and will be studying Aeronautical Engineering at Loughborough, Ria Badiani will be studying Neuroscience at UCL with AAA, Asiyah Ibraheem achieved AAA and will be studying Electronic Engineering with Artificial Intelligence at Southampton, A*AA grades were achieved by Jasmine Jelfs who will be studying Midwifery with Leadership at the University of Leicester, and Zahabiya Mamujee will be studying Computer Science at Warwick with A*AA.
42.7% of the A Level grades achieved by the School were at A* or A.
Head of Sixth Form, Kam Purewal said:
