A Level Success!
96% of all LHS girls who received their A Level results today have secured their place at their first choice University.
This includes 8 girls who will be will be setting off to the universities of their choice to study Medicine.
Over 90% of all grades achieved by girls at LHS were A* to B, with 68% at A* or A. 50% of girls achieved straight A* and A grades.
Tasneem Rafik, who joined the School on a scholarship provided by the Sir Thomas White charity, has achieved straight As and will be attending the University of Birmingham to study Medicine.
Head of Sixth Form, Mark Ryman-Tubb said:
“The girls have worked amazingly hard, and they should be very proud of what they have achieved.”
Headmaster, Alan Whelpdale added:
“These are a fantastic set of results, especially given this group of students have never sat full examinations before, having missed out on sitting their GCSEs due to COVID. I am very proud of all the girls for their achievements and the staff for their commitment to their students. I’m delighted for all the girls and wish them every success at their chosen universities and in their future careers.”
