Biology Olympiad
Our Year 13 Biology students recently took part in the Biology Olympiad. This competition challenges and stimulates students with an interest in biology to expand and extend their talents. Students were presented with topics and ideas which they were not familiar with, so had to utilise their problem-solving skills and understanding of core principles.
This competition is used to identify the very best biology students in the country and all our students should be congratulated for taking part. All the students who did take part will be rewarded with publicly recognised certificates.
The results of the competition and awards are:
Gold - Renita G
This puts Renita in the top 5% of the 13,000 Biology students from 800 schools who took part in this year's competition.
Bronze - Riya D and Emma S
Highly commended - Rachael W, Aalishah P, Aamina A and Shreya S
