Year 8 Mock Local Council Elections
As part of their work on local government, in their PSHCE lessons, the girls formed their own campaign parties and delivered a manifesto of election promises, after which a ballot was held in each class.
Some of 8D’s campaign promises included:
- Neighbourly events
- Tea with the elderly
- Litter picking
Amongst other things, 8C campaigned for:
- Free music lessons
- More green space
- Less homework…..and none on Fridays!
