Students Gain Valuable Insights on Holocaust through Educational School Trip
Year 9 and 10 History pupils embarked on a thought-provoking and educational school trip to the Beth Shalom Holocaust Memorial Centre. The visit aimed to deepen the students' understanding of the Holocaust and its complexities while fostering empathy and awareness.
The Beth Shalom Holocaust Memorial Centre, located in Newark is dedicated to preserving the memory of the Holocaust and educating visitors about the choices faced by ordinary citizens during that dark period in history. The centre houses a range of informative exhibits, providing students with an immersive experience and a comprehensive understanding of the events surrounding the Holocaust.
During their visit, the Leicester High School pupils had the opportunity to listen to a Holocaust survivor, who generously shared their personal experiences and memories from that time.
