Leicester High School Welcomes Sam Tratt as New Sports Coach
Leicester High School for Girls is pleased to announce that Sam Tratt has joined the PE department as the new sports coach.
With a background in coaching and a passion for promoting physical education and enrichment activities, Sam is ready to create a positive shift in the school's sports program.
"We are delighted to welcome Sam to our team," said Kate McCarthy, Head of PE. "His commitment and enthusiasm for sports make him a valuable addition to our school community. We are confident that his expertise will improve our students' experiences both in and out of the classroom."
Sam’s impressive coaching journey includes spending 5 years working at St. Mary’s Hinckley, coaching various sports including hockey. Outside of school, after 3 years coaching National League hockey, he is currently coaching a local ladies' team. Additionally, he is the manager of a women's football team.
"I am excited to join Leicester High School and contribute to the girls’ development,” said Sam. "My goal is to create an inclusive and motivating environment where every girl can thrive, not only as athletes but as individuals who are passionate about fitness and well-being.”
In addition to sports coaching, Sam is also set to manage enrichment activities aimed at improving students' overall health. These activities will include outdoor adventures, further strengthening Leicester High School's commitment to a well-rounded education.
