Year 4 girls enjoy exciting Viking Adventure
Year 4 girls enjoyed an exciting start to the new academic year as they discovered what life was like during the Viking and Anglo-Saxon eras.
They travelled to Perlethorpe Education Centre, located near Nottingham, to initiate their new Cornerstones topic, 'Invasion.' Guided by Rob, their knowledgeable host, the girls explored the history and culture of this fascinating period.
During the trip, students had the opportunity to handle historical artifacts, don Viking helmets, and take part in simulated Viking and Anglo-Saxon activities.
Assistant Head of the Junior School, Pippa Gascoigne, commented, "The trip was great fun and a fantastic opportunity for the girls to connect with history."
Leicester High School for Girls consistently provides a range of experiences that broaden the horizons of its students. In the coming week, Year 4 and 5 students are looking forward to their upcoming residential trip to Kingswood at West Runton in Norfolk.
