Leicester High School for Girls is proud to announce the exceptional performances of two of its talented students, Phoebe and Upkar, in the production of Matilda at the Sue Townsend Theatre in Leicester.
The event was a success, with an audience of 250 people.
Phoebe, a Year 6 student, took on the role of Ms. Trunchbull, while Upkar played Mr. Wormwood.
Jo Rose, the Head of Drama at Leicester High School for Girls, said, "I am incredibly proud of Phoebe and Upkar. It's moments like these that remind us of the incredible talent we have at our school."
The audience sang and danced along to the production. Phoebe's rendition of 'Smell of Rebellion' was a standout moment, earning her a well-deserved standing ovation.
Health and Wellbeing Officer, Mrs. Wright, was among the attendees and thoroughly enjoyed the show. She commented, "It was a lovely evening. Phoebe and Upkar truly showcased the incredible talent and creativity of our students."
In addition to Phoebe and Upkar's performances, the School would like to give a special shout-out to Rayea, a Year 6 student, who attended a creative workshop. Rayea's exceptional talent has already caught the eye of several acting agents.
