STEM Workshop with Local Pupils: Robots and AI Exploration
Leicester High School for Girls organised a STEM workshop entitled "Exploring Robots and AI," which was attended by pupils from Overdale School, Launde Primary School, and St. John The Baptist School.
Led by the Head of IT, Belal Ahmed, the workshop allowed participating students to create Microbits, small programmable computers.
During the workshop, students programmed their Microbits to perform various tasks and interact with their surroundings. At the end of the day, they presented their projects, showcasing their creations. Each participant received a Microbit and a certificate of completion as recognition for their active participation.
Belal praised the impeccable behaviour of the students and said, 'It was a pleasure to work with such well-behaved and enthusiastic students, making the workshop a rewarding experience for all involved.”
Leicester High School for Girls remains committed to promoting STEM education and providing opportunities for students to engage with technology. The "Exploring Robots and AI" workshop is part of the school's ongoing efforts to inspire young minds to explore the world of technology.
