The competition is an excellent way to encourage mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems."
At Leicester High School for Girls, mathematics holds a special significance, as it not only develops critical thinking and problem-solving skills but also paves the way for opportunities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. We take pride in nurturing a strong interest in STEM subjects among our students, with a significant number - one-third of our girls - expressing a desire to pursue Further Maths at A-level.
