Athletic Success
Leicester High School for Girls is proud to acknowledge the outstanding performances of its student athletes at the recent athletics competition hosted by Inspire Together at Saffron Lane.
Hope, a Year 10 student, clinched victory in the 800m race, while Isobel, from Year 8, secured second place in the 1500m event. Zoya and Millie, representing Years 8 and 7 respectively, excelled in the High Jump, with all four pupils earning qualification for the upcoming county selections in June.
Lucy, Kerryn, and Saisha all qualified for the 200m finals on the day, and the Year 8/9 relay team emerged victorious in their race.
Sports Coach Sam Tratt expressed, "It was an exciting day with 300 students participating, and the atmosphere was amazing. I am incredibly proud of the girls for their hard work and dedication.
