Staff Lunchtime Recital
Leicester High School for Girls recently hosted its inaugural staff lunchtime music recital, showcasing the talents of staff members.
The recital opened with a beautiful rendition of "California Dreaming," sung by Madame Wheeler, Mrs. Whalley, and Miss Proctor, setting a high standard for the event. The audience cheered as Mr. Ryman took the stage with his guitar, delivering a soulful performance of Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark."
Mrs. Wagner-Lees impressed everyone with her masterful violin performance of "He's a Pirate" from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. This was followed by a piano duet of "Four Pictures" by Madame Wheeler and Miss Proctor. Miss Proctor continued to impress with a solo piano performance of Nocturne No.1.
The recital concluded on a high note with a lively and unique performance by Mr. Pinnick on the didgeridoo. The audience joined in singing "Waltzing Matilda," accompanied by Mrs. Wagner-Lees on the violin and Mr. Ryman on the guitar.
Thank you to the staff for their wonderful and inspirational performances.
