The foyer of Leicester High School for Girls was filled with beautiful music as the students performed a 40-minute orchestra recital yesterday.

Solos were played by Olivia, on the piano: Eternal Light by Anan Ryoko, as well as a vocal performance of The Bird's Lament (No.1 from The Aviary) by Aashna, captivating the audience with her grace and emotion. Isobel and Lucy displayed their clarinet talents with a duet and a solo performance of Hackensackby Thelonious Monk, bringing a jazz element to the event. Samyucthaa's rendition of the piano solo, Berceuse, by Frank Bridge was lyrical and mature.

The finale featured all the pupils playing Spring from Vivaldi's Four Seasons. The whole event highlighted the dedication, enthusiasm and talent of the students.
