Deputy Head Completes Serpentine Swim
Leicester High School for Girls is delighted to celebrate the incredible achievement of Deputy Head, John Partridge, who completed the two-mile Serpentine Swim over the weekend.
This multi-distance swimming event takes place in the world-famous Serpentine Lake in London, where Mr Partridge swam the equivalent of 130 lengths to complete the challenge.
This accomplishment secures Mr Partridge's place in the prestigious London Classics Hall of Fame, following his previous successful completions of Ride London and the London Marathon. His dedication to completing these iconic events is a source of inspiration for students and staff alike.
Reflecting on the swim, Mr Partridge said: "It was an amazing challenge, especially with the cold water after the temperatures dipped overnight. The atmosphere was fantastic, and swimming in such a historic setting was a privilege. Having my family there to support me made the experience even more special."
Leicester High School for Girls congratulates Mr Partridge on this remarkable achievement, which showcases perseverance, commitment, and a passion for physical challenge.
