Disney Charity Dance-athon Success
Leicester High School for Girls recently hosted a Disney Sing, Bounce, and Dance-athon involving students from Early Years to Year 5 to raise funds for the Oncology Ward at Nottingham Children’s Hospital.
So far, the school has raised £4,111.66, with a bake sale planned for next Thursday. Fundraising efforts will continue throughout the year. The event saw students coming together to sing, dance, and raise awareness for an important cause.
The event held special meaning for the School community, as a friend and pupil in Year 4 is currently undergoing treatment in the Oncology department. Inspired by their friend’s journey, the girls were determined to do everything they could to help, with all pupils eager to make a difference.
“It was amazing to see how much fun everyone had while supporting such an important cause,” said KS1 teacher Mrs Neuberg, “We are incredibly proud of the effort and enthusiasm the girls put into this event.”
With the help of the whole school community and generous supporters, the event raised vital funds for Nottingham Children’s Hospital, contributing to the care of young patients and their families.
