Big Sister, Little Sister Launch
Leicester High School for Girls is excited to announce the launch of this year's "Big Sister, Little Sister" initiative, aimed at developing strong, supportive relationships between older and younger students.
On Friday, Year 9 girls were paired with their new Year 6 'little sisters' in a special event designed to create bonds that will last throughout the School year.
As part of the initiative, the 'big sisters' and 'little sisters' will participate in a range of activities together, including having lunch, showing each other a favourite wall display in the school and explaining why they love it, reading to each other, and attending school events to cheer on their sister.
Deputy Head, John Partridge, shared, "This initiative is about building a community where every student feels supported, valued, and connected, with the older students serving as mentors and role models.”
The "Big Sister, Little Sister" initiative is just one of the many ways Leicester High School for Girls supports its students in building confidence and creating a caring school environment.
