Year 6 Girls Celebrate the Festive Season
Year 6 girls at Leicester High School for Girls recently marked the start of the festive season with a delightful afternoon of Christmas activities.
The girls began by visiting a local café, where they enjoyed hot chocolate, sweet treats, and the chance to choose a bauble to contribute to the School’s Christmas tree.
Back at school, they gathered in the foyer, joined by parents, to perform a Christmas song in front of the tree. The group then worked together to decorate the tree with their carefully chosen baubles, adding a personal touch to the festive display.
The afternoon also featured poetry readings by the girls, allowing them to share their creative efforts with a supportive audience of parents and teachers. The event was filled with warmth and showcased the strong sense of friendship and community among the Year 6 students.
“It was a very special event, and the girls thoroughly enjoyed spending time together,” said Form Teacher, Nuria Vicente Lorente. “It was a lovely way to bring everyone together and celebrate the start of the Christmas season.”
At Leicester High School for Girls, moments like these are cherished for the way they bring students, families, and staff together to celebrate and connect in meaningful ways.
