Coding Club Success
Leicester High School for Girls is celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit and teamwork of Year 13 student Shambhavi, along with Bahaar, Prithika, and Jasmin, who together organised a hugely successful Pizza Party for the School’s Coding Club.
The event welcomed 21 attendees, including all 10 current Coding Club members, who each brought a friend. This impressive turnout resulted in new interest from attendees to join the club next term, inspiring students to enjoy coding as a hobby.
Shambhavi’s initiative didn’t stop there—she secured a $100 sponsorship from Hack Club, a US-based non-profit organisation that supports student-led coding communities worldwide. This grant fully funded the Pizza Party, ensuring the event was free for attendees and the club.
“I love coding, and I wanted to share that interest with others,” Shambhavi explained. “It’s great to see new people keen to join. I’m really grateful to Hack Club for helping me make this happen.”
The Coding Club at Leicester High School for Girls encourages students to explore technology, problem-solving, and innovation.
