Art at Leicester High School for Girls

Studying Art, complements the academic life at LHS. Painting, sculpture, print, photography - we encourage all forms of creative expression in our rich and diverse art curriculum. Our girls learn skills that are transferable across a wide range of professions, engaging curiosity, creative thinking and preparing them for an ever-changing world.

We are excited to share that our Expressive Art Department has received national recognition with the prestigious Gold Artsmark award from the Arts Council of England! This remarkable achievement reflects our commitment to providing every student with an excellent art and cultural education.

As an Artsmark School, we are now part of an exclusive community that grants us access to exceptional resources and connects us with some of the nation's most esteemed cultural organisations. This partnership will undoubtedly strengthen our arts provision, allowing us to continue encouraging creativity and artistic expression in our students. We couldn't be more proud of this recognition and look forward to furthering the artistic journeys of our students.
