Beaumanor House Triumphs at House Sports Day
Leicester High School for Girls kicked off the week with an exciting House Sports Day, with pupils competing in rounders, tennis, and netball. The day was filled with friendly competition and great sportsmanship, with Beaumanor House emerging as the ultimate victors.
Head of PE, Mrs Kate McCarthy, said, “It was a beautiful day, and the girls demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, teamwork, and a never-give-up attitude. A special shoutout to Year 12 who elected to take part in the event and support the rest of the Senior School. They are fantastic role models and I am very proud of them. Thank you also to our teachers who helped out throughout the day. Your dedication and hard work made it all possible!”
The House Sports Day served as a reminder of the important life lessons learned through sports, teaching the girls the value of collaboration, perseverance, and the ability to rise to challenges.
