EYFS have Exciting Autumn Adventures in our Spinney!
This week, our young adventurers enjoyed an enchanting Autumn walk, discovering the beauty of nature all around them.
This week, our young adventurers enjoyed an enchanting Autumn walk, discovering the beauty of nature all around them. They had their eyes peeled for the treasures that this season has to offer. They scoured the spinney for conkers, pine cones, colourful leaves, acorns, birds, and seeds. They also engaged in lively discussions about the woodland creatures that call this place home.
Adding a musical touch to their week, the students learnt the song "Dingle Dangle Scarecrow" in the classroom. Inspired by this tune, our creative young minds crafted their very own scarecrows. Using sticks and leaves they collected from the Spinney, they brought these friendly guardians of the field to life, adding a touch of autumn magic to their outdoor adventures.
But the fun didn't stop there! Our EYFS explorers also had a blast in the mud kitchen, digging into the earth and letting their imaginations run wild as they concocted all sorts of imaginary feasts and creations.
To wrap up their week of autumn activities on a warm note, the children enjoyed some hot chocolate and a biscuit, sharing stories and laughter in the cosy atmosphere of our EYFS department.
