GCSE Grades Hit the Right Note!
Leicester High School for Girls were celebrating another fantastic set of GCSE results, including 100% of Music grades at 8-9 grades (A* to A).
70% of all results were at 7-9 grades (A* to A), up from 2018.
There were several individual success stories, Oishee G received top grades of 9s in all subjects and an A^ - the top possible grade - in GCSE Further Maths. Sheena A achieved top grades of 9s and an A* in Further Maths and Shahd A achieved grades of 8-9 in all her GCSEs.
Science and Languages results were also impressive with 98% of Biology, Chemistry and Physics grades at 7-9 grades (A* to A) and 92% of French and Spanish grades at the same level.
The School is also delighted to be welcoming several new girls into the Sixth Form who have achieved fantastic results.
Head of Year 10 and 11, Jo Rose said:
“I am so thrilled for the girls and their fantastic results, which reflect their commitment and hard work.”
The GCSE results come after fantastic A Level success this year, including 43% of our grades at A* or A.
