Leicester High School for Girls Honours Remembrance Day with a Uniting Tribute
Leicester High School for Girls came together last week to commemorate Remembrance Day.
In an assembly, the girls reflected upon their recent Battlefields trip, which brought history to life by visiting significant sites tied to world conflicts. This assembly served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by countless individuals who have served in the armed forces.
In a collaborative effort, students from Year 6 to Year 13, guided by the Maths Department, used their skills to craft poppies from half dodecahedrons, which were then beautifully arranged on a wreath. This project not only showcased their maths skills but also allowed them to reflect on the significance of Remembrance Day.
We invite the community to join us in remembering and honouring the fallen.
