Supporting the Local Food Bank This Christmas
Students at Leicester High School for Girls, from Pre-School and Juniors to Seniors, have come together to support their local community this Christmas.
Recognising the needs of those less fortunate, the school has been collecting donations for the local food bank to help families during the festive season.
The Senior School collection was led by Charity Representative Amritha, who raised awareness and encouraged contributions through posters, assemblies, and Form time. Her efforts inspired her peers to get involved and emphasised the importance of giving back.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of parents, boxes of non-perishable goods—including canned foods, dried items, and festive treats—have been collected across the school.
John Partridge, Deputy Head of Leicester High School for Girls, expressed his gratitude:
"This initiative highlights the strength of our school community and the kindness of our families. A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who generously donated and supported this cause. Your contributions will make a real difference to families in need this Christmas."
The donations will be delivered to the food bank in time for Christmas, helping to spread joy and provide essential support during the holidays. Leicester High School for Girls thanks all families, pupils, and staff for their compassion and commitment to this meaningful effort.
