Leicester High School's Big Draw Festival Experience
Leicester High School students joined The Big Draw, an international drawing festival.
They participated in one session on Friday, 29th September, with the second session set for Friday, 13th October, as part of the month-long festival running from October 1st to October 31st.
This year, in contrast to the festival's official theme centred around the senses, Leicester High School's Art Department encouraged students to explore their creativity by illustrating their favourite lessons using pens, pencils, and colours. Their aim was to convey the essence of their chosen subjects.
Mr. Andrew Rose, the Head of Art and the event organiser, commented, "The students truly enjoyed this collaborative drawing challenge. It was conducted within different classes, and students responded in various imaginative ways."
The resulting artwork will be proudly displayed in the Art Department and select pieces can also be viewed on our Art Instagram account @leicesterhighart.
