Maths Masterclass engages locals

Leicester High School for Girls recently hosted a dynamic Maths Masterclass, welcoming around 50 girls from local schools.

The event, themed "Smoke and Mirrors," aimed to inspire young mathematicians. Students from Avenue Primary School, Market Harborough CofE, St Johns, Mayflower, and Whitehall solved intriguing mathematical problems. The collaborative atmosphere developed teamwork and critical thinking skills.

"It was wonderful to see these bright young girls engaging with maths in such an interactive way," remarked Matthew Pinnick, Head of Maths at Leicester High School for Girls.

Under the guidance of the school's Maths Department, students explored the theme of "Smoke and Mirrors" from various mathematical perspectives. The event showcased Leicester High School for Girls' commitment to developing a passion for learning.
