Mental Health Champions

Leicester High School for Girls is proud to partner with the One Goal programme, helping Year 5 and Year 6 pupils become Mental Health Champions.

Led by Mrs. Pippa Gascoigne, Assistant Head of the Junior Department, the programme promotes well-being and a supportive school community.

Year 6 pupils are taking part through PSHCE lessons, while Year 5 pupils join a dedicated club. They are learning practical ways to care for their own mental health and support others, focusing on six key principles of positive well-being.

“Our girls are gaining vital skills to prioritise mental health,” said Mrs. Gascoigne. “Their enthusiasm and progress are inspiring.”

Pupils are working towards their Bronze Award, aiming to complete it by Easter. Once qualified, they will receive badges to mark their achievement and commitment.

This initiative highlights Leicester High School for Girls’ commitment to nurturing confident, well-rounded students, prepared for life’s challenges.
