This term, the whole of Year 7 have participated in this year’s national Read for Good sponsored event within their English lessons.
Over the last few weeks, the winning Leicester High School for Girls entries from the 2018-19 Leicester Rotary Club Young Writers competition have gone through to the prestigious District Competition judging round.
On Saturday 30 March, our enthusiastic team of Year 8 girls battled it out against 3 other teams in the Regional Finals of this year’s Rotary Youth Speaks Intermediate competition in Grantham.
On Tuesday 26th March, we had the pleasure of watching the Onatti theatre company perform a Spanish production for all the girls studying Spanish from Year 8 to Year 13.
Earlier this term, 113 girls from Years 6-10 submitted entries for this year’s Rotary Club of Leicester’s Young Writers prose competition “My Inspiration”.
We were delighted to welcome speakers from a huge range of organisations to our Careers Event for International Women's Day 2019.
Well done to Leicester High's very own student company Futuro who attended the Young Enterprise Trade Fair this weekend.
Y13 Biology pupils have achieved great success in the British Biology Olympiad Competition run by the Royal Society of Biology
On Thursday 14th February, Leicester High School was visited by Onatti Productions who performed 'La Salle des Énigmes' where characters Marie and Jeremy were tasked with getting free from the Escape Room.
The girls had a great time at Oundle School with British Language Champions spending the day preparing a marketing video in French. Our ‘emotional’ video won us an excellent achievement of 2nd place out of many schools.
On Saturday 2 February, our Year 8 team of Pavneet, Florence and Nell took part in the Rotary Youth Speaks District Semi-Final round of this year’s competition.
Year 10 Drama have been getting into the Christmas spirit this week by performing their Christmas play at local primary schools.
