Royal Institute Masterclass Training
Sixth Form students at Leicester High School for Girls have started their training with the Royal Institute
This training will enable them to deliver Masterclasses for Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, as part of an initiative aimed at developing their leadership and communication skills. The programme allows Sixth Formers to create and deliver STEM-focused workshops, using resources provided by the Royal Institute along with their own ideas.
Through these workshops, Sixth Formers guide younger pupils in practical activities and experiments, making complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging. Under the guidance of experienced staff, the Sixth Formers are learning how to design sessions that introduce STEM topics in an age-appropriate and stimulating manner.
“This opportunity helps our Sixth Form students develop valuable skills in leadership and communication, while encouraging younger pupils’ interest in STEM subjects,” said Mark Ryman, Head of Sixth Form at Leicester High School for Girls.
The initiative reflects Leicester High School for Girls’ commitment to developing both academic growth and personal development, equipping students with skills to engage others in learning.
