Shakespeare Cast workshop
Students from Year 6 to Year 13 at Leicester High School for Girls recently participated in a Shakespeare Cast workshop, marking the next step in their preparations for the upcoming production of Much Ado About Nothing.
The workshop, led by Katie from the Shakespeare Schools Festival, offered students the opportunity to work through scenes from the play, focusing on character development and performance techniques. The session aimed to deepen their understanding of the text and refine their stage skills ahead of the performance.
Head of Drama, Mrs. Jo Rose, commented, “The workshop gave our students valuable insights into the play and helped them develop their acting abilities. We are grateful to Katie for her guidance as we prepare for this year's production.”
One student noted, “It was interesting to explore Shakespeare in this way. I’m looking forward to performing Much Ado About Nothing later this year.”
