STEM Success
A group of talented girls from Leicester High School for Girls has emerged victorious at the IET Education Faraday Challenge Day held at the Leicester City Football Club.
Competing against peers from across the region, the girls showcased their ingenuity and problem-solving skills, securing the top spot in the annual STEM competition.
Tasked with addressing real-world challenges, the girls tackled the issue of road safety with innovation and creativity. Their winning solution? An automatic lighting system designed specifically for pedestrians. This groundbreaking system illuminates pathways as walkers pass by, enhancing safety and visibility on roads.
Head of Science Mr. Andrew McMurray said, "I am incredibly proud of our girls for their outstanding performance at the IET Education Faraday Challenge Day. Their dedication, teamwork, and innovative thinking exemplify the spirit of Leicester High School for Girls."
