Successful Storytelling Night at Leicester High School for Girls

Leicester High School for Girls recently held a well-attended storytelling event for children and their families in the Junior Department’s Hall.

Decorated with fairy lights and drapes, the setting provided a backdrop for a session of storytelling that featured Little Red Riding Hood and Billy Goat’s Gruff narrated by a storyteller from the local library.

Mrs. Laura Heywood, EYFS Leader, commented on the event’s success: "The large number of families who spent the evening with us is a sign of the event's success and the strong community interest. These gatherings are key to promoting early learning and togetherness within our community."

Attendees enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies during the storytelling, adding a relaxed, homely feel to the event.

Leicester High School encourages those who couldn't make it to stay informed of upcoming events and to consider the school for their nursery and Reception needs by visiting the school website.

A sincere thank you is extended to all the families who took part in the evening. The school plans to continue hosting similar events that encourage learning among children and their families.
